Happy Tuesday everyone!

I can’t believe Halloween is just a couple days away.  For some reason I kept thinking that I had a couple more weeks so I waited till the last minute to purchase the Halloween costumes for the boys.  I can’t explain it but the thought of celebrating Halloween tends to trigger my tendencies to procrastinate.  No, I was like that way before having kids.  I’m just wired that way!

Since the boys love the Thomas and Friends show, I thought about getting that costume for them when I first saw it at Target a month ago.  But I didn’t because I thought I should be able to purchase toddler costumes from anywhere and at anytime, right?  Well, when I was ready to purchase them a couple weeks ago they were sold out.  Who knew an animated train that always screws up can be that popular with kids!   I then tried to purchase them online but the last minute shipping cost did not justify such purchase.

The thought of them just carrying the pumpkin bowl to fetch for candy did cross my mind since they are so fascinated with pumpkins lately.  But that did not sit well with me.  So a couple days ago hubby and I went back to Target once again to look for another type of costume.  As luck would have it, there were exactly 2 Thomas and Friends costumes left.  Yes, we bought them finally and they were on sale for a lot less.  I guess there’s a cost when it comes to procrastination…so much less 🙂

  1. I usually wait until the last minute too but a few years of unhappy Kiddies with costumes they didn’t really want changed that. Now I go as early as I can but with coupons in hand…LOL

I’m glad you found the one’s they wanted and on sale though! That’s awesome!
