This week I’m sharing my DIY eyelash growth serum to get those beautiful thick long lashes without a prescription.  If you have short lashes like me and want to grow them longer and thicker inexpensively then this post is for you!   Long lashes look so sexy and sultry but it takes skills to apply fake lashes to achieve that.  And I really really suck at doing so.  The best solution for me is to lengthen and thicken them organically with natural ingredients.

There are several DIY eyelash lengthening and thickening serum recipes floating around the internet.  I have researched and tried a few.  After some trial and errors by using the serum on myself for months, I found this formula to be the most effective.  I couldn’t be more satisfied!  I apply the serum on my lashes every night before bedtime.  All you need is 3 ingredients and an empty mascara tube.  Ready?

    1. Castor Oil.  This is the main ingredient in this serum.  It is full of Omega 6 fatty acids, vitamin E and proteins.  This oil can easily absorbed into the hair shaft and locks in nutrients.  You can find the organic version here.
    2. Sweet Almond Oil.  This oil is full of monosaturated fats, vitamin E, magnesium and calcium.  It nourishes the hair follicles and moisturizes the hair.  This can prevent them from falling out.  You can find the organic version here.
    3. Vitamin E.  You don’t have to use this ingredient but I found it to be helpful because when the lashes are nourished more they grow longer and thicker.  So if you have any vitamin e capsules just add them to this recipe.  If not you can order them here.

So you have all these ingredients but not sure what the correct allocation to give you those long and thick lashes.  Here’s the formula that’s been working for me  Remember, castor oil is the main ingredient.  I use the 80-10-10 rule.  For this post I fill the mascara tube with 80% of castor oil, 10% of Sweet Almond Oil and 10% of Vitamin E.  If you don’t want to buy an empty mascara tube you can use any empty bottle/jar.  Now you have a bottle of lash lengthening elixir without needing a presciption and pay a hefty price tag to have sexy eyes!  Check back on an upcoming post for the brow serum recipe!!!
