Savouring Dubai’s Diverse Dining Scene

Dubai may be home to sparkling beaches and glamorous shopping stores but it’s also highly regarded for its restaurants. This is a city where cutting-edge dining establishments rub shoulders with celebrity-chef eateries, and whether you’re here for a week or only a night you can easily find a cuisine to suit your taste.

To say that Dubai’s restaurant scene is thriving would be something of an understatement, but this is a city that feeds on diversity and nowhere is this more apparent than in its ever-expanding restaurant scene.

Value for money dining

Dubai attracts over 10 million visitors per year and this is a city that caters to every taste and budget when it comes to eating out. You don’t need to spend a week’s wages on a first-class meal however, and if you’re looking for great Indian, Lebanese, Italian or Thai dishes then head to Jumeirah where you have choice of over 200 restaurants and cafés. In fact, if you can’t find the type of cuisine you’re looking for in this neighbourhood you probably won’t find it anywhere. This area is where the locals and tourists come for excellent food at value for money prices.

Down by the marina

Pier 7 has become one of the city’s food hotspots and this innovative dining experience consists of seven restaurants located under one roof. If you’re an Asian food lover then you’ll no doubt head to Cargo Dubai where the panoramic views of the marina and the Persian Gulf are just as impressive as the meals. You could visit Pier 7 to enjoy a different dish every night of the week including French, Latin American, Middle Eastern and British cuisines. This is definitely one of the most fun places to dine in style whether you’re looking for a quiet meal, a celebration with friends, or to enjoy an entire evening of food, drink and dancing, all within one venue.

Well-known names

You’ll probably have to book in advance and may have to pay that little bit extra but if you’re looking to sample some of this city’s best dishes then the plethora of celebrity-chef restaurants are guaranteed not to disappoint. World-famous chefs such as Nobu Matsuhisa, Marco-Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver have all opened dining establishments across Dubai. In fact some, such as Gary Rhodes and Sanjeev Kapoor, offer more than one restaurant to choose from. At these establishments you can expect Michelin Star fine dining, along with a sumptuous atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

Whether you visiting for business or pleasure, you’ll have no trouble whatsoever finding a place to eat, drink and relax in Dubai. You’ll no doubt also find that the hotel you’re staying in has its own restaurant but if not you won’t be far from an excellent dining establishment in this city.
