With a new season comes a new series. Welcome to Outfit of the Week series where each week I feature my outfit of the week from vintage to thrifted to low end and some high end fashion. My style is constantly evolving, and I am inspired by everything.
I’m over 40 but I still love shopping at trendy but affordable stores like H&M, Forever21, Topshop, and ASOS. The key is to find quality pieces that would look good at my age. I also love shopping for discounted high end fashion items on ebay, consignment stores, vintage stores, closeout websites and flash sale sites. The key is to shop for quality classic pieces and mix them with trendy items for a modern look.
My goal is to share more of these pieces each week with you so that you can look fabulous and not break your bank. To kick things off this week, I am featuring this white silk dress I purchased from Marshalls a few weeks ago when I was in San Francisco for a business trip. The cut and the style of the dress caught my eye. The 100% silk material made me stop and try on the dress. But it was the red sticker price of $24.99 that sealed the deal. A garment like this is worth the buy because not only is the quality top notch but the style is classic and versatile.
This dress is great for business casual, date night, brunch, movie night, cocktail, and dinner. I hope you will enjoy this journey with me and maybe one of these outfits will inspire you.
