family album-1

Believe it or not we’ve never had a family album. Sure we have taken a lot of pictures, especially with the birth of our twins but none of those pictures made it on to a paper format. We have been storing the digital images into different places from laptops to flash drives to iphones. The truth is keeping a paper photo album requires time and that’s something we wish we had more of in this busy household. What would happen if the data got wiped out completely!?! Our photographic memories will be lost forever!

We’ve been talking about putting these digital photos into albums so that we have something tangible to touch and enjoy for years to come. Since the twins will start their preschool soon we thought it would be fun to show these pictures to them and have them help us to put this family album together. What better way to enjoy each other’s company than going through old photos that conjure up happy memories we can relive time and time again.

It didn’t take long for the twins to jump in to help mommy and daddy to put a family album together. They were fascinated with every photo they touched from mommy’s big tummy to the bouncy chairs to the double strollers to their first steps. They also recognized their aunties and grandmas and grandpa and giggles while holding these photos. 5 minutes into showing these pictures to them they took ownership of the task at hand

Photos are a window in time and looking at these photos was like looking through a portal to a world of a loving family with lots of sleepless nights, constant baby burping, infinite diaper changes, and nonstop laundry. But every memory was a happy one. And we have the hardcopies to prove it 🙂

We want to take this opportunity to thank our sponsor, Kimberly-Clark, who partnered with us from May to June to celebrate what matters most – family values.

  1. With everything now digital, I think most of us don’t have photo albums. I have been thinking about putting something together digitally for my son for maybe the first 5 years of his life. He is 7 now but better late then never right 🙂
