Happy Tuesday everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  We went to Legoland again.  The twins had been talking about going back and there’s no better time than on a long weekend.

I hate to sound like an annoying brat but I really hate the heat.  I feel like I can’t properly function, especially when it comes to styling my hair.  Unlike most women I have to put some effort in styling my hair every day whether it’s been shampooed or not.  Due to my coarse, straight Asian hair I wake up every morning with hair either lopsided or cone shaped.  I always have to spray the affected areas with water and then a blow dry.  More often than not, especially in the summer heat, I either put my hair in a pony tail or a messy updo.  Sometimes none of these methods work.

Such was the case a few days ago when the temperature rose back high to almost 3 digits.  We decided to head to the farmers market then dinner after.  As usual I wanted to look presentable before stepping out the door.  For whatever reason my hair wouldn’t respond to a simple pony tail or a messy updo.  It wouldn’t stick to anything.  After more than 10 minutes battling with my hair I decided to shove them in a hat so that my kids and hubby didn’t have to wait forever for me to get ready.  To my surprise it was by far the most efficient and easy method to combat a bad hair day.  Do you have a method for combating a bad hair day?

  1. You look gorgeous! The dress and hat are fabulous. Summer heat and humidity does a number on my hair too! It could look perfect and then 10 minutes out the door and it has lost curl and is flat. I always end up putting my hair up as well. The top-knot is my best friend! hehe
