Welcome to my monthly series called “My Monthly Favorite Investments” where I share my favorite investments of the month with you.  I do 80 to 90 percent of my shopping online, especially with brands that I know and trust. I have yet to dabble grocery shopping online but I’m sure that day is not too far from the horizon.  Here are the products I invested for the month of September.

Nature’s Bounty Extra Strength Hair Skin Nails, 150 Count ($18) In addition to taking my multi-vitamins daily I also take the Skin Nails & Hair supplements.  I’ve been taking this product for 5 months and this is my 3rd bottle.  Here’s an interesting fact; I got lazy and stopped taking the supplements for a few weeks.  Next thing I know my hair started shedding. A LOT!  I immediately went back to my old routine and my hair stopped falling off.  Ever since then my hair continued to grow a lot faster, nails are stronger and longer (no more nail breakage), and my skin doesn’t get dry as often (that’s probably a combination from eating healthy plus my set of skin rituals).  So I think it’s doing something.

NYX Cosmetics Make Up Setting Spray, Dewy Finish/Long Lasting, 2.03 Ounce ($8.00):  I read about this in a beauty magazine a few months ago.   A couple weeks ago when I went to Walgreens to stock up on some stuff I decided to locate this product.  I chose the dewy finish because I love that dewy look on my skin.  It left a dewy finish for the first 10 minutes but then disappeared.  However, it kept my makeup intact for up to 10 hours.  That was really impressive.  I use this 2-3 times a week and the bottle will probably last a few months.

Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 – 3.3oz ($23)One of my girlfriends raved about this and I had to try it.  Well, I was told it’s only available through participated salons – hah, I bought mine at Amazon!  Okay, maybe it’s my hair but I really didn’t notice the difference.  It’s supposed to strengthen your hair but I couldnt’ really tell to be honest.  I still love my Morrocan Oil Hair Masque but it’s always good to try other products.

Top Face Phyto Collagen Peeling Gel ($16.99)I actually stumbled upon this bottle at a Korean beauty store near my parents’ house while shopping for more my snail masks.  I don’t know why I bought it but I’ve never seen any products like this so I decided to give it a try.  Whatever this is it’s amazing!  It’s a skin exofliator on steroids but doesn’t irritate your skin.  It makes my skin feel nice and soft.  I also use this to exfoliate the calluses on my feet – two thumbs up!

  1. Very curious to try that Olaplex treatment since I’ve heard a ton about the brand! And I agree, Moroccanoil is the bomb.

I really wanted to like the Olaplex treatment but it just didn’t do anything to my hair.
