Hope you had a great 25th of December.  While I know not every one of you celebrates Christmas, I hope the last Friday in 2015 was worthwhile.

We did our usual Christmas celebration but this year hubby did all the cooking since I had to work on Christmas Eve. After all, it was my first week at work and I had zero PTO to spare.  Regardless, the dinner turned out to be better than expected and everyone had a fabulous time.

Starting a new job can be daunting and stressful. I believe I’m pretty good at adapting to changes in my circumstances.  At work, I have to learn how to adapt to the new work environment.  At home, I have to learn how to adapt to my daily routines.  Of course, on the blog I have to adapt as well.  As expected, I will post more work related outfits as opposed to the school drop off uniforms since I won’t be dropping off the kids in those outfits.

Since starting this job I became even more organized.  For instance, I try to cook all the entrees and freeze them on the weekend so that hubby can prep the food for the boys during the day. In addition to laying out and ironing my clothes the night before I also pack my lunch to save money.

I’m also more smart with my clothing investment.  Yes, I have bought a whole new work wardrobe but most of these pieces are slacks and pencil skirts, which you will see more on the blog. To avoid spending an arm and a leg I focused on getting pieces that are classic and versatile so that I can mix and remix them with my current wardrobe. This outfit is a perfect example where you can simply convert this from work wear to casual wear by replacing the slacks with denim. Working in a new job is expected to be stressful but the dressing part shouldn’t have to be.
