Gong Hei Fat Choy!  Today is Chinese New Year and it’s the year of the Monkey.

I hope your weekend treated you well. It was a bit short for me even though we attended a Lion Dance at the mall, constructed 2 sets of Lego for the twins (took over 2 hours!), celebrated the twins’ classmate’s birthday and ended the weekend with a big Chinese New Year dinner with our family – can’t complain!

I am happy that the hubz is home this week because it was really really tough when he was gone for over 10 days. I can’t wait for our date night at Bestia later this week, which took over 3 months to reserve.  I will share our rendezvous on Instagram, so follow along if you can!

Sharing one of the outfits I wore to work last week.  My latest go-to basics is the Carson from Elizabeth & Clarke’s winter collection.  This vest, made with 100% ponte de roma knit, goes with almost everything in my closet.  The fabric is structured, but soft and the collar is designed for style and warmth, which is a necessity in these cold months.  I have been pairing this vest with everything from denim to black shift dresses.
