beauty essentials-1

What a busy full week it has been.  And what happened to June?  Although this is on my mind constantly I know I won’t allow myself to enjoy such indulgence until I have completed my tasks at work and home.  We will be leaving in a few days for our family vacation and packing is on the top of my list.  Our plan is to pack as lite as possible from toiletries to shoes.

When it comes to beauty products I have a tendency to want to pack everything with me.  But I’m a realist and try to be as practical as I can.  So, when packing for any trip I always take out the necessary products that I need to bring with me.  If the bottles are small then they are coming with me.  Otherwise, I squeeze them into little tubes to allow space for other things.  Here’s my must have beauty items to pack for our upcoming family trip to Toronto/Quebec:

Nº1  Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Nourishing Cleanser ($7.17)

I love using a great cleanser that does more than cleaning your skin.  The Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Nourishing Cleanser is perfect to take my makeup off and cleanse my face at the same time!

Nº2  Sonoma Coconut Oil ($21)

I’ve been using this for months and really love it.  As I age so does my skin.  It gets dryer each year and I love how the coconut oil makes my skin feel.

Nº3  RoC Deep Wrinkle Serum ($23.99)

I layer this on top of the Coconut Oil twice a day.  I also use the serum to mix with the foundation to achieve that dewy look on my skin.

Nº4  Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Eye Cream ($14.64)

I’m not an eye cream person because most creams have a tendency to cause milia growth around my eyes.  This one has been great and I love how it makes my eyes smooth.

Nº5  Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Daily Moisturize SPF 30 ($17.97)

I’m a self proclaim SPF aficionado.  I absolutely will not leave the house without any SPF on!  This does not sting my eyes like most SPF moisturizers.

Nº6  Organic Vitamin C Serum with Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid ($22.97)

I use the vitamin c serum once a day, usually in the morning and then layer on the coconut oil, serum, and the moisturizer.

Nº7   RoC Multi CORREXION 5 in 1 Restoring Night Cream ($16.99)

I love this cream and my sensitive skin responds so well.  I love how my skin feels the next morning…smooth and hydrate.

These are my beauty essentials that I use at home as well as on vacation.  Not only are they affordable they are great for my hyper sensitive skin.

I hope you will have a nice July 4th weekend.  For me, I will be busy flying and enjoying my time with my family.  You can follow our family’s vacation journey via Instagram .  Until then, I will see you on the blog next week!
