Hi!  I hope your weekend was treating you well.  The Santa Clarita area in the Angeles National Forest has been battling the fire since Friday late afternoon and it has burned over 30,000 acres with 1 person dead and at least 18 homes destroyed.  Our home is 40 miles away but we can smell the smoke in the air and see ashes sprinkling on top of our cars, lawns, and pools.  The fire fighters are working tirelessly to put out the fire.  I commend them for their bravery.  Hopefully, the fire will get put out soon.

Today, I’d like to talk about floral midi dresses.  Although I’m a t-shirt denim kind of girl, I’m a sucker for feminine dresses.  I think they are absolutely adorable and can make you feel very girlie.  I spotted this dress a while ago but wasn’t sure if the big floral pattern would overwhelm my petite frame.  I’ve been told once that I looked too exotic in big pattern clothing.  So, I subconsciously avoid any big big prints whenever I shop.  As I get older I don’t really care what people think so I wear what I like.  As long as I feel good, confident and sexy that’s all that matter.

I love the pink and navy color combo on this dress.  The pink roses are prominent but grounded by the navy color in the background.  I can wear this dress for any occasion, especially for weddings.  This dress is also perfect to transition into fall.  You can wear a sweater over the dress or layer it with a blazer.  For $78, this dress is a steal!

I now pay more attention to big pattern clothing and even bold colors.   Because you never know what you will find that can make you look and feel sexy and confident at the same time.
