Happy Friday!

I took a little over a week off from blogging because I have been extremely busy.   Starting this week, the Friday Weekly Work Mode series will not return on a weekly basis.  As much as I love to track and document every work outfit its been a challenge – work and family with kids.  Instead, I will share my 5 favorite work outfits of the month every last Friday of the month.

You can still follow me on Instagram for my outfits.

So, today as part of the Healthy Living series, I’d like to share something that I have been having a hard time to adapt….eating bananas.

Let’s just put it out there…I don’t like bananas.  I love the scent but I just can’t stand the texture.  It’s too mushy.  I love crunchy fruits. Period.   I know, bananas are extremely healthy for you.  Heck, my grandma who lived up to 107 (bless her soul) had at least one banana a day.  I’m sure the bananas had a lot to do with her longevity.

Anyhow,  with hubby and the twins’ support and encouragement (the twins would literally run out the door after me and hand over the banana so that I can eat it in the car on my way to work), I’m slowly adding bananas to my breakfast rituals.  I’m not quite there yet because sometimes I forget..or avoid.  But when I do I find that I’m more alert and my stomach would not growl as often in the mornings.

My hope is that I will eat a banana every day without having my kids or husband running after me.

Do you have a healthy habit that you are trying to adapt and embrace?
