What You Should Invest from Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale

As we all know it, pretty much everything’s on sale in mid-July.  However, there is one sale that we are all excited about because this sale includes new-season items, not past seasons.  

I’m talking about the Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, which has been running annually since the 1960s.  Expect major savings on the chicest shoes of the season, beauty exclusives, accessories and designer pieces.  Since they are significantly marked down, it’s a great opportunity to grab anything you’ve been needing, or know you’ll need come fall and winter.

Now, just because the items are on sale does not mean you have to buy them.  There’s a way to tackle this madness by being smart with your investment.  I’ve narrowed in on some of my favorite picks for that timeless, classic style while staying current and on-trend with your looks.

Bags & Shoes

You can’t go wrong with a great handbag.  The selection here is great for work or play.  The Nordstrom sale is the ideal time to stock up on pricey shoes like boots.  The over-the-knee boots will never go out of style, and it’s rare to see boots on sale from Stuart Weitzman.  So get them before the regular prices return.

Dresses

There are so many dresses on sale for work and play, prices are affordable and the styles are chic.  My favorite would have to be this burgundy stripe dress from Kate Spade.  It looks so elegant and chic.

Sweaters

It’s time to update your sweater wardrobe.  The bell sleeve style is my favorite because it adds an unexpected twist to the style.

Outerwear

Fall is only a month and a half away so this is the best time to update your fall wardrobe with some light coats and leather jackets.  They tend to be very pricey so this is the opportunity to invest in one if your wallet permits.

Beauty

Let’s just be frank here. We all know that beauty products never ever go on sale.  The Nordstrom Sale is the perfect opportunity to stock up your makeup from some premium brands.  It’s worth it!

I have to check my wallet (LOL) but if I have to choose it would have to be the following five items that I would consider buying.  Let’s hope they will be available when I’m ready to buy in a couple weeks.  Not everyone has a Nordstrom Card..and it’s okay!
