SUMMER OUTFIT #4

Summer is almost over but weddings are still in full swing.  Last week I shared what you should wear to a rehearsal dinner.  This week, I’m sharing what you should wear to a wedding.  Again, you are not the bride and should avoid looking like one.

I absolutely love going to weddings.  It is one of the few venues where you can catch up with your old friends while meeting new ones and seeing your miles apart families as well.  But my highlight would have to be seeing the bride in her dress.  Of course, getting to pick out an outfit for the wedding is one of the most exciting parts.   In general, whenever I think of a wedding, the pastel color palette usually comes to mind.  I think you can definitely wear black, but my recommendation would be to choose something flowy or add a dash of color from your shoes or bag to give that wedding celebratory feel.

Depending on the occasion (formal or informal) I think this pastel pink dress here is suitable for any wedding theme.  Formal?  Add some sparkly heels, accessories, and put your hair up.  Casual?  Wear this dress like I did here in these photos – comfortable and stylish.  Beach?  No problem, pair it with sandals like these.

So this dress is not your style?  No problem…I found more below along with some shoes under $150 for you to peruse and choose.

As mentioned in the previous post, my hope is that through this series you can locate the outfits easier, faster, and cheaper while looking stylish and polished.

STYLING TIPS

Whatever you do, do not wear white.  This is not your day so reserve that for the bride.   I think dresses are so feminine and pretty for a wedding, but a nice jumpsuit will do too.  Put some effort into looking nice because it is a wedding after all.

  1. Great wedding guest attire suggestions. They are all so pretty, stylish, and tasteful. Flattering colors. Love the jumpsuit.

  2. You are looking absolutely stunning and I love both that dress & the straw bag. I think it is always nice to dress well for a wedding, if only to be polite towards the bride & groom.

    Have a great week!

  3. Beautiful suggestions! I am in a wedding soon and I like your selections way better than my bride’s maid dress. One more that I will never wear again! Thank you.

Yes I agree with you- people should not dress like the bride when going to a wedding. I like your outfit, it’s simple, chic and classy
