What to Wear WHERE: Resort Wear

 Last week I shared what you should wear to a girls night out.  This week, I’m sharing what to wear when you are on vacation.  

I love to travel.  As a matter of fact, I met my husband while traveling.  I also love to travel light.  I prefer to bring one carry-on and pack as light as possible.   I did that again for my recent 10-day Sicily trip with  a stopover in London.  Let’s just say  I felt pretty stylish without lugging my entire closet while basking in the sun with wine and gelato.

I love looking my best and feeling comfortable at the same time every single day when I’m on vacation.  I pack clothes that are versatile yet stylish, but also easy to chase after my twin boys, if needed.  If the destination calls for lots of night life then I pack more nightlife clothing.  If the destination has a beach vibe, especially in tropical areas, then it calls for resort wear like sundresses, caftans, and flowing skirts.  And no, you should not have to spend a fortune to look your best while vacationing.

This one shoulder gingham print dress is under $80 and I have worn it before, during, and after my Sicily trip.  This is my go to everywhere dress because it is comfortable and stylish.  Thanks to the cotton material, it keeps me cool in the heat.

STYLING TIPS

You can never go wrong with dresses for a resort holiday.  If you want to pack light, just stick with one or two colors for your outfits and elevate those outfits with different accessories and shoes.
