clothing budget

I started the $200 Clothing Budget series since January 2017.  Since then we have acquired a topnotch high-quality wardrobe for less than $200 a month that would last for seasons to come without breaking our bank.

This month is the final installment of this series and we have a total of $207.61 clothing budget to spend including the $7.61 from last month’s balance.

Since January we have been on the path to build a cohesive wardrobe that we can mix and match for seasons to come.  For December, we found more investment pieces for winter, all under $202 with $5 in change for a Tall Latte 🙂

Shay Ring Shoulder Bag ($50):  I can go on a couple pages about what type of bags you should own.  To keep this simple and short, every girl should have a shoulder bag in her closet because it is chic, stylish, and versatile.

Faux Fur Stole ($20):  I think faux fur stoles are cute and sexy.  I was never really into it until a couple years ago.  The key to wearing such an elaborate piece is to keep the rest of the outfit simple and clean.

Suede Pumps ($20)  I’m a self-proclaimed shoe addict borderline shoe hoarder.  I never turn down a classic pump for less than $20, especially if it is made of leather/suede.

Wool-blend Boucle Coat ($69.99):   A coat is a must-have in every girl’s closet for winter.   I find wearing a lighter coat is so much easier to move around.  The key is layering.

Drape Belt Midi Dress ($25):  When you see a nice looking dress for $25 or less you just have to jump on it.  The style of this dress is timeless and you can wear it to work or play.

I hope you have been enjoying this series as much as I have enjoyed putting this together to help you build your wardrobe without breaking your bank.  Until then, have a great New Year’s weekend!
