I’m excited to share my latest drugstore beauty finds for the latest installment of the Beauty Craze series.

It’s no secret that I love to visit my neighborhood drugstore, Walgreens, to shop for my favorite snacks, vitamins, and beauty care items on a regular basis.  I especially love to browse their beauty aisle because they carry so many brands that offer endless options for skin care and beauty care.

A few days ago, I stopped by Walgreens to pick up a new eyeliner because I ran out of it.  I also picked up a nude lipstick because I’ve been wanting to try the bold eyes with a nude lip look for a while.   Here’s my take on these two products that I stumbled on.

drugstore beauty finds

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Skinny Eyeliner ($6.59)

According to Maybelline, this is the first always sharp, twist-up gel eye pencil achieves sleek, defined, on point looks in one smooth stroke and lasts up to 24 hours of wear.

This is probably one of the best eyeliners I have ever tried.  The 1.8mm micro-tip and smooth gel does deliver an ultra-smooth fine line that is precise, doesn’t fade or bleed.  However, it would only last up to 8 hours for me, and frankly, that’s how long I would need it to last for work.  I also love the fact that the eyeliner does not require a sharpener and is easily removed with a makeup remover.

This is a great buy!

Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matt Nudes Lipcolor in Clay Crush ($7.49)

Maybelline’s latest innovation?  They introduced a collection of 10 warm creamy matte nudes, with a range of nude shades that flatter every skin tone.  Their highly regarded creamy matte formula contains precious honey nectar oils so your matte lip is always comfortable.

The lipstick is creamy, and matte without being too drying.  It surprisingly lasts a long time.

The only issue I had was color.  I bought the Clay Crush color because it looked like the perfect nude color I’ve been looking for.  Unfortunately, the color shown on the packaging isn’t a completely accurate representation of what’s in the tube.  While this color washed me out a bit I think getting a darker color would be perfect.

This is still a great buy.  My only recommendation would be to get a color darker than what is shown on the packaging.

Next time you’re heading to a drugstore to pick up a prescription, or an over-the-counter product, maybe grab this eyeliner and the nude lipstick while you were at it.

  1. I like these products. Drug store products are great if you know the right ones to try. I like Maybelline. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I’ve been wanting to try a good nude lipstick. It sounds like the brand was good but you needed a different color. I’ll have to give it a try.

  3. I love going to Walgreens to check out their makeup. They always have great choices. Nude lip isn’t my thing but I think I want to check out the eyeliner, I think it will help me to not get a fat line.
