Hello everyone!

I was given a challenge from thredUP, a clothing resale website with brand name clothing, all in new condition, to buy and wear used clothing for 1 week.  It never occurred to me that it would be a challenge.  I love buying new or used clothes as long as they are clean and good in condition.  I have a lot of clothes that I had purchased throughout the years from the flea market to consignment stores and eBay.  So, when I was given this challenge, I was thrilled!

So off I went shopping at thredUP.  I was given up to $150 worth of clothing to shop.  I was in heaven once I logged in.  In addition to selling women’s brand name clothing, they also sell boys and girls.  I was able to 5 outfits for less than $150 (retail at $750).  Most of these items have never been worn and still have tags attached.  It’s like getting deals on eBay without the bidding wars.  Oh, the clothes arrived nicely wrapped in a green polka dots box…you have to love that!

For the next 5 weeks, I will post the outfits that I have worn for the week. Without further adieu, I’d like to share with you my 1st outfit challenge: Gray Pleated Skirt from Express, and here’s how I wore it:

Gray is a muted neutral color that you can pair with almost any colors.  I chose to pair it with the color pink to inject a burst of color to my wardrobe.  The light pink linen sweater that’s been sitting in my closet for a while was a perfect match.  I finished the look with a skinny belt, an ankle strapped heels, and a statement necklace.  I wore this to dinner but you can wear this outfit to brunch, shopping, or PTA meetings.  What do you think about this outfit? How would you pair the gray skirt?

You can also sell your items and receive up to 40% of the resale value upfront.  You can learn how all that works here.
