Today I’d like to share my beauty products review of the week; Sircuit Savant, Supernatural A, and Infusion-A from Sicuitskin Cosmeceuticals.
The Claim:
Retnoid stimulates anti-aging process while slowing down the aging process. Sircuit Cosmeceutecals use a patent pending ingredient called Iconic-A® which is a stabilized retinaldehyde, a first of its kind! Iconic-A® is used in Infusion-A as well as Supernatural-A. Retinaldehyde, also called Retinal is one of many forms of vitamin A where with just one step, the body can convert retinaldehyde either to retinoic acid or to retinal. Due to such metabolic dynamics, treating the skin with retinaldehyde could produce therapeutic levels of retinoic acid while reducing the risk of side effects associated with retinoid excess.
Expert Opinions:
A German study by Dr. Fluhr and co-workers published in the journal Dermatology in 1999 copared irritation potential of retinol, retinaldehyde and retinoic acide and concluded that both retinol and retinaldehydehad a good tolerance profile compared to retinoic acid.
Mama’s Take:
Here’s what I was told on how to use these products properly. Start with Infusion-A and use it every other night to slowly introduce it to my skin. If I experience any redness or irritation, take a break until my skin clears up, then use it again. Then slowly introduce Supernatural-A to my skin as well. I was also told to use their Sircuit Savant every other day/night. Sircuit Savant is their Vita-A alternative serum that mimics the results of retinol. It is especially great for sensitive skin or people who are sensitive to retinol. I can use Sircuit Savant as a serum before Supernatural-A if I wish.
I’ve been using these 3 products for the past couple months. I didn’t want to write a review a month after using this type of products because I read somewhere that you won’t see results until a couple months later or so. Since I was also reviewing other skincare products I used these 3 products on my face and neck only, not on my forehead.
I have extremely sensitive and dry skin and I was pleasantly surprised at how gentle these products were on my skin. I started with Infusion-A and used it every other night and then a week later I introduced Supernatural-A to my skin. At the same time, I was using Sircuit Savant once a day. During the entire 2 months not once did I ever get any redness or peels. It was impressive and my face and neck now feel so soft and vibrant.
