Happy Thursday everyone!

||Wearing: Gap turtleneck, Old Navy Pea Coat, Topshop Jumpsuit, BCBG belt, Target tights, Schutz booties, Forever21 bib necklace||

So far you have seen 2 looks (this and this ) that I have created with a basic black turtleneck .  I can’t stress enough how versatile this top is.  It is definitely a closet staple.  One of my favorite pairings is to wear the turtleneck underneath a dress or a jumpsuit.  For a night out with the family, I layered a blue floral jacquard short jumpsuit over the black turtleneck and tights.  I was in the mood for calmness and relaxation so I chose the color blue as the accent color for this outfit.

Cost: Wool peacoat ($34), jumpsuit ($28), belt ($19), tights ($5), booties ($48), necklace ($12).  All of these items are at least 1 year old and were purchased on sale online or at the outlet store.

I hope this post inspires you to get fun with your existing clothes in your closet and get excited again!

  1. Gorgeous Janise. Love how you remixed that simple turtleneck.

  2. Visiting you from the IFB link-up. I am also a fan of re-using wardrobe pieces and love how you wore the turtleneck here! The short jumpsuit pattern is really cool and the pea coat over it perfect! <3<3 Xo, Elif

  3. So I don’t have a black turtleneck! I didn’t even realize it until reading this post. I will have to rectify that immediately!

  4. That jumpsuit is so versatile! I can imagine you wearing it with just strappy flats during summer. I also love your style!

  5. Lovely as usual, and I have fallen back in love with the turtleneck especially with the cold winter weather. Swinging by from The Pleated Poppy – Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
