Happy Friday everyone!

What a week!  An unexpected death happened in our kitchen…our 30 year old fridge!  When we first purchased our second home almost a year ago we had a “to do list” to work on for the next couple years.   For the first couple months, we got rid of the cottage cheese ceilings, removed all wall papers, refinished the wood floors, re-carpeted the play area and fenced the swimming pool.  Most recently we put in copper piping for the yard, planted roses and fruit trees, removed asbestos, replaced all the ducts and added insulation.  While the latter was going on we noticed a humming sound was coming from the fridge.  We also saw water leaking!  It turned out the freezer was broken so the temperature was warm and all the frozen food had melted!!!

Our intention was to renovate the kitchen eventually…in a year or so.  Really, it was a functional kitchen and the only appliance that really needed to replace was the fridge.  So, for the past few days we’ve been busy cleaning, and shopping for food while slumming it.  During this busy chaotic time, a few good things happened…
