Dress: Gap (sold out, similar style) | Heels: Steve Madden | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (on sale here) | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelet Bangle: Ann Taylor | Lipstick: YSL #12

Happy Monday everyone!  Yes, August is almost over, and I have no doubt amazing things in September await us all, especially Fall!  Until then,  I find myself craving for Santorini…walking barefoot on the white sand and through the white homes on the cliff over looking the clear blue sea.  I think it’s the summer heat that’s been getting to me.  If you’ve been to Santorini then you know what I’m talking about.  If you haven’t it is a must see destination.  To satisfy that craving, hubby took me and the boys to a Greek restaurant yesterday for lunch instead of our usual Italian deli, and I wore this white ensemble with a touch of blue to pay homage to Santorini.

Speaking of this outfit, I’ve been living in this dress for the past few weeks.  A few weeks ago I picked up this dress and another one (will feature on an upcoming post next week) at the Gap.  I found these two dresses on the clearance rack and also received an additional 50% off.  Not that I needed any more white dresses since I already found the one!  In total I paid $30 for two dresses!!!  This dress looked plain and frumpy on the rack but not so when tried on.

In case you’re wondering about the bag….I recently bought this from the Rebecca Minkoff Endless Summer Sale which I also shared the special access link with you on Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter.  I’ve been looking for a white satchel bag for a while now (o.k. I already have a Marc Jacob white bag but that darn thing is so heavy that I couldn’t take with me anywhere!) and when I saw this marked to 70% off I couldn’t resist.  It was the best bag EVER!  It’s not too big and not too small.  The pebble leather is very light and soft, and can hold a lot of stuff.  What I love most about it is that it can be worn as a crossbody as well.  Hey sometimes you need both of your hands to hold your little ones when crossing the street while looking stylish.  This bag can’t be more perfect and I want this in every color!!!

To walk away two hours later from a casual lunch at an unexpected place was absolutely delightful.  Wearing this outfit combined with the food and the music at the restaurant definitely satisfied my Santorini craving.  I now await for Fall that’s inching closer each day.

  1. It’s amazing how one pop of color can truly make an outfit. I love shirt dresses. They are effortlessly chic and easy to dress up (as you did) or down…or even get ready for fall with a nice pair of knee high boots, a cardigan and some casual accessories!

  2. I love the pop of blue to your adorable white dress! I have never been to Santorini, or Greece for that matter, but was on Airbnb the other day looking a places to stay and it definitely ignited the wanderlust in me. Ever since seeing photos of those white little houses overlooking the Sea, I have wanted to go. One day, one day!

    Cheers,
    Alyson

  3. You look beautiful in white. Your dress is stunning on you plus the cobalt is eye catching. I love the way you’ve done your hair today.

  4. That dress is just GORGEOUS. I’m not such a huge shopper of GAP because I feel a lot of their clothes aren’t fitted correctly -but this dress is AMAZING.

You are absolutely right, Madline! There was a petite size (supposedly fit my short frame) but it didn’t fit right. This dress is a regular size…go figure!

Thank you Zaz! I bought these earrings 10 years ago at a vintage boutique. There were 3 pairs in different colors and I took them home with me 🙂
