Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to the Beauty Buzz series!

My hair grows fast…exceptionally fast according to my hairstylist.  So I color my hair A LOT…at least once a month!  One can argue that my hair is at least 40% gray.    So it’s no surprise that 2 weeks after coloring my hair the color starts to fade and lose its shine.  When Rita Hazan contacted me to review their Ultimate Shine Color Gloss Collection I raised my eyebrows.  Will this require a lot of my time and most importantly,  will it work?    Read on to find out what my take is with this product.

 The Goods:

Ultimate Shine Color Gloss in Brown

rita hazan ultimate shine gloss-1

Key ingredients include: Coconut fatty acid provides hair detangling and softening effects.  Panthenol and Pro Vitamin B5 provides moisturizing and conditioning. Silk protein in silk amino acid add moisture to the hair and boosts shine.   Formulated without parabens, sulfates and alcohol.

The Claim:

Prevents hair color fading and dullness.  Simple to use, lightweight, mess-free.  Can be used immediately following professional color treatment.  It basically restores richness and depth while preventing color fading.

Mama’s Take:

The instructions are super easy to follow.  After shampoo, pump a handful of foaming gloss into your palm and massage through hair.  Leave on 3-5  minute and rinse thoroughly.  Follow with your conditioner.  I use the gloss whenever I shampoo my hair, which is 2 to 3 times a week as recommended for best results.

I’ve been using this product for over 2 weeks now and after the first use I immediately noticed the difference.  My hair feels like I had a conditioning treatment and color done at once.  It makes my hair super shiny and smooth and surprisingly reduced a little bit of frizz.  The only thing that this product doesn’t do is covering my grays.  Well, this product is not designed to do that but I think I may try their Gray Root spray to see what that’s like.  Overall, I really really love this product and highly recommended.  A 5 oz. bottle costs $26 which I think isn’t so bad.  You can purchase it at RitaHazan.com, Sephora oUlta.

Disclosure:  Although the product was given to me for review my opinions and thoughts are 100% my own.
