Hello everyone. Today marks the 13th anniversary of al Qaeda crashing the World Trade Centre’s twin towers. Thousands died and our lives have never been the same. On a lighter note, today is another week of Date Night Style series on Mama in Heels. Each week I select an item from my closet and style it for that special day or night. This item can be old or new, trendy or classic. Either way the goal is to transform the piece to a date night or day date look.
This week I selected the white lace dress ($49) that I purchased from my recent NYC trip. I fell in love with the pattern and the texture the minute I laid my eyes on it. Although it’s a bit short I thought it would be the perfect dress for date night! I paired this dress with my new heels (yes, got it from a little place that sells mostly shoes with red soles!). I’ve been wanting to purchase the Pigalle (they run small so order 1/2 a size up) for a while now. This style is always sold out online so when I saw them at the store I knew it was meant to be.
I wore this look last night because it was hot and it called for something breezy and crisp. I know I know…it’s after labor day and you shouldn’t wear white. Well, I don’t follow any rules let alone fashion so I wear white whenever I feel like it. I never let fashion rules dictate me, especially for a date night look. As long as I feel confident and sexy and also put a smile on hubby’s face, that’s all that matters.
