Happy Tuesday and welcome to Beauty Buzz!

Almost 3 years ago I suffered from postpartum alopecia 5 months after giving birth to my twin boys.  This was not uncommon amongst women after giving birth.  Treatment was not necessary because the hair will usually return to its original density within 6 months.  Well, 3 years have passed for me and believe me my hair is nowhere near to what it was before pregnancy.

Over a year ago I asked my hairstylist why my hair on the left side seemed fuller than the right.  She said that my hair was still growing since the last major shedding.  The texture also changed…it’s more coarse and dryer than before.  Right now, I still see baby hair growth on my temples.  So for me it takes more than 6 months to return to what it was before.  My hair is now thinner than before but not so drastic that I need a hair transplant.  At times I just need some help to pump up the volume to make them appear fuller.

I just so happen to be in the market stocking up my shampoo & conditioner when KeraFiber contacted me a few weeks ago.  After reading what their products can do for thin hair I agreed to review their products and share my results with you.  Here’s my take on their products after using them for the past couple weeks:

The Products:

KeraFiber Hair Thickening Shampoo, KeraFiber Hair Thickening Conditioner and KeraFiber Protect & Revive Keratin + Argan Oil Proten Replenish Hair Serum.

Mama’s Take:

I have been shampooing my hair for up to 7 times with these products for the past couple weeks.  You can see from the pictures above that there’s about 3/4 oil left on the hair serum because I packed a 1/4 of it with me on my most recent business trip.  Yes, I pack the best products with me whenever I travel.  First off, my hair did not thicken on the first couple washes after letting my hair dry naturally.  On the third wash I decided to blow dry my hair after applying the hair serum.  Voila, my hair looked thicker than before.  Look, I used the mousse previously and that product gave some volume on my hair but it’s a different volume and thickness.  BTW, this mousse got confiscated at the airport on my way home from NYC …please don’t ask…I was being stupid and took that big bottle with me on the plane..what the heck was I thinking!

The difference with these products is that my hair appears to stay fuller in between washes.  I’m glad I made the decision to review the KeraFiber products because I have never heard of them until now.  They are now on my list of hair products to purchase.  If you have thin hair I would recommend to give it a try.  It may work for you!

Disclosure:  Although I was given the products from KeraFiber to review, all opinions are my own.
