Welcome to week 16 of my spring capsule collection outfit remix series. I can’t believe we are only days away in ending the spring season. As much as I enjoy doing this series, next week will be the last. After all, spring will start the week after.
I have mixed and matched for the past 16 weeks from these 17 pieces and did my best to share every outfit with you. This week is no exception. I’m mixing the polka dot silk blouse in a menswear-inspired cut from Equipment. I scored this blouse for $60 at a major sale a while back. I think the retail price was $258 and as much as I LOVE this shirt I couldn’t shell out that much for a blouse, even if it’s 100% silk.
The sale price really sealed the deal for me. I personally love polka dots and this shirt has all the right elements to mix and match anything from high waist trousers, flared denim, skinny denim, pencil skirts, flared skirts, and even shorts. It is truly a classic versatile piece to have as a staple in your closet. I’ve been packing this shirt for my business trips and it saved so much packing space while looking conservative and chic at meetings.
Although a bright, colorful handbag would add some color to this look, I chose to stay neutral for a subdue feel. It was quite hot when these pictures were snapped and I thought the grey mini duffel did its job in toning down my summer heat mood.
