The big L Photography

Blog NameThe Big L Photography Blog

Your Name: Becky Jones

Years of blogging: 3 Months

What is your blog about?

I write a London Photography blog where I share my experiences of London and photos I take whilst I explore the city. Whilst I do not use my blog to share technical advice on photography, I do use it to share the best places in cities to practice certain shots and share with my readers great places to visit that aren’t the generic tourist attractions.

How often do you blog?

I post every Thursday with an occasional additional mid-week post.

Best compliment you have received?

Emma Freud, co-founder of Comic Relief, one told me my photographs were beautiful and bought two of my canvases – that felt pretty great!

If you could spend the day with any celebrity, who would it be?

I think this would have to be Emma Watson. She is such an accomplished woman and makes me proud to be British! She pursued her education, receiving a degree from one of the best universities in the world, is an iconic actress, an amazing role model to young women globally and most crucially, utilizes her fame to highlight important social issues. Her speeches on feminism and her work with the United Nations are inspirational!

If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?

Travel the world with my camera, sharing the beauty I encounter and the adventures I experience with my blog readers!

Your dream vacation? Worst vacation? Best vacation?

Dream vacation: Vietnam – It has had the number 1 spot on my list of places to travel to for as long as I can remember.

Worst vacation: Honestly, I haven’t ever had a bad holiday really, although when I was younger and still lived at home, my family went on a camping holiday and after driving several hours to the campsite, on arrival we discovered my mum had left my bag on her bed at home – not great!

Best vacation: It wasn’t a holiday, but a few years ago I went on a conservation trip to Cuba, it was one of the most incredible experiences. I met so many new people, and spent time in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been too!

What is your favorite place to take photographs?

This is definitely the village I grew up in, Walberswick. It’s a seaside village, which is truly stunning and is where my love for photography began!
