grey and pink-3-2grey and pink-1-4grey and pink-1-5grey and pink-2grey and pink-1

I’ve been wearing a lot of grey lately.  This didn’t happen overnight.  It took me a while to embrace this color because I found it hard to style other than cream or black.  Sure, I read through countless of magazines since my early teens but the color of grey never really registered in terms of styling until the last few years.

Like most things in life, you experiment in order to learn.  You know, trial and error.  Trust me, I’ve done plenty of those and learning how to mix and style the color of grey was one of them, on and off.  As a matter of fact, it turned out that this neutral color was probably one of the easiest and most elegant to style in an understated way.

By adding a hint of color like pink to the entire grey ensemble like this outfit , it is easy to accomplish a minimalist look without appearing boring and drabby.  I’m wearing the Whitney blouse in grey from Elizabeth & Clarke’s fall collection.  If you are following my blog then you know I’m a big fan and have been wearing their clothes for over a year.  The Whitney blouse is probably my favorite so far.  The fabric is structured but soft.  The design is simple in the front, but daring in the back.  Great for work and play!

Grey is now one of my favorite colors and I know I can count on mixing and remixing with any color, texture, or style because it is so timeless it can never go wrong.  Do you have a color that you recently embraced?
