holiday party-5 holiday party-1 holiday party-2

holiday party-4I try not to make the mistake of putting myself on the never-ending wheel pursuing perfection, and losing sight of all that is going well – or not at the moment. It’s important now and then to reflect what we have like friends and family that love you and your health. Also to remember to celebrate what is going well, and when you least expect it you will appreciate it.

Holidays are a time to be with friends and family and be grateful for what we have because most people aren’t fortunate enough to celebrate these realities. It’s also a time for us to get dressed to the nines to look our best. After all, most of us do this once a year. This does not mean you have to fork out more money that you already have to get that dress – possibly wearing the same one at a party. I personally love to look a bit different amongst the crowd so I tend to pile on accessories or wear a vintage dress like this one from a flea market find.

Not everyone has the time to wander all day at the flea market to shop for a dress. Luckily for me I was able to do that a couple months ago thanks to my parents’ help in looking after the boys.

While shopping for vintage jewelry and accessories at the flea market I stumbled upon this dress.  The cut and the style caught my eye but the $5 price tag sealed the deal.  Mind you, I had to tailor this dress so that it would fit my petite frame. This vintage dress is one of a kind and I know that I will look stylish without spending a fortune at an upcoming holiday party.
